Meet me, Michaela

Hello Spinunity, my name is Michaela. I am a huge foodie, I love my cat and dog, being outdoors, and travelling. I am currently a student at MacEwan University, obtaining my bachelor of science degree. When I’m not spinning or studying, you can usually find me hiking in the summer, trying out local restaurants, and cross country skiing.

Before Spinunity, I had never taken a single spin class. Growing up, I was always involved in some type of sport. My parents enrolled me in dance when I was young, and I competed in a number of different styles of dance, including tap, jazz, and hip hop. I also played volleyball as a teenager. When high school ended, and university began, I started to get busy and my priorities began to change. I stopped dancing, volleyball was over, and I started to feel like something was missing in my life. That’s when I came across Spinunity. I had often heard about spin through friends, so I thought I would give it a try.

I fell in love with my first class. The atmosphere, positive vibes, and of course the music kept bringing me back. I would go on my computer everyday, searching all the different classes I could attend. It was an addiction for me. I loved it so much, I joined Spinunity’s Karma program, wanting to be more involved with the studio and its amazing community.

When I first started working for Spinunity, I was behind the scenes of it all, answering phones, greeting people, and making those amazing smelling sweat towel that everyone loves. I was so excited to be a part of the team!

When I was given the opportunity to begin spin instructor training, I was ecstatic! It was a goal I had set for myself and to be that much closer to my goal was exhilarating. I have enjoyed the process of becoming a spin instructor and doing something I love to do. Everyone at Spinunity has been incredibly supportive in helping me achieve this goal.

It has been a crazy and unexpected journey, and I am loving every minute of it. Being able to motivate, push boundaries, and help people realize their potential is both fulfilling and inspiring. It helps push me to be the best version of myself when I see the dedication of other people. I am so honored to be a part of this community and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us.

See you at the studio,
