HANNAH

When did you fall in love with spin?

My mom and I used to go to the occasional spin class or two at some of the city rec centers. When we first tried the sunday night spin and yoga at Spinunity, it was life changing in the sense that I actually looked forward to working out instead of dreading it. Truthfully, the cold towels probably had a lot to do with sealing the deal for me, but HEY! I’ve never looked back!

What are your nicknames?

I usually go by either Hannah or Han. I have a friend who calls me Mini Han or just Mini, because I drive a mini cooper. It’s not a very contagious nickname though.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOUR CLASSES?

BAD JOKES AND THAT’S ALL. Just kidding (a little). I try and have a wide variety of music genres, though I’ll always have at least one track by drake/kanye/both. Also, many many standing sprints. You think they’re gone, but they’re never really gone.

Where can we find you on a Sunday morning?

In the summer, either in bed or at brunch with my mom (Little Brick cafe is a fave). During school I want to say in the library, but in real life I’m usually still in bed.

Guiltiest Pleasure?

Riverdale is such a cringey show but I simply can’t stop myself. Also literally any food with melted cheese on it.

If you could give someone one piece of advice, what would it be?

Jeez. I’m honestly always on the receiving end of advice! I’d have to say if you’re going to do anything, whether it be work or school or a hobby or whatever, work hard at it. I never understood the point of doing something just to do it, and the satisfaction of seeing the results of something you really put effort into is one of my favorite feelings.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired when I meet people who are driven by their passions. I always thought it was amazing to meet someone who is interested in totally different things than you, but watching the way those things motivate them and let them grow refreshes and reinvigorates your own passions and goals. Does that make sense? Basically when I see someone living their life the way they want to, it makes me want to do the same, even if it isn’t in the same way as them. I hope I can be that person for someone one day. It obviously helps if you’re doing what you love, and I really love what I do here! So hopefully I’m on my way.
